Job SummaryThis position provides daily maintenance on the machinery, both preventative and repair. Also, make repairs to maintain production, operation and overall building repairs as needed. The technician will also be required to assist Maintenance Technician Aandrsquo;s when requested.Job Duties and Responsibilities Essential Job Functions Provide daily maintenance, both preventative and repair, on the machinery or building. Inspect the boiler, chillers and compressors to ensure efficient operations of the same. Make any repairs to the equipment or building to maintain production and/or proper operation. Install or upgrade machinery for production and/or safety purposes. Monitor and adjust machinery to a level whereby maximum accuracy and efficiency is achieved. Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery as required. Convert machinery to accommodate changes in various products or packaging material. Operate machinery if required. Assist Class A Technicians when required. Compliance with company policies, SOPandrsquo;s, cGMPs and all other government regulations as related to this position. Coordinate with appropriate personnel to obtain materials needed to perform functions. Must follow all safety procedures when opening, repairing and installing process or palnt equipment. Responsible for checking the pass downs that are given from the previous shift. Get together all tools and start line production as soon as possible. At end of shift shut off all machinery. Responsible for cleaning the area in the shop after projects are completed; sweep when necessary. Assist or provide training to Maintenance Trainees.Non-Essential Job Functions Present an attitude that fosters team work and promotes positive morale of fellow staff. Including reliability in attendance and completion of assigned dutiesRequirements Minimum 2 year technical degree or 2-4 years industrial maintenance experience.Skills and Abilities Strong background in mechanical and electrical background Ability to work with others and promote a team atmosphere Familiarity with maintenance and repair of packaging machinery Willingness to complete coursework for upgrading purposesSupervisory Responsibilities Work Environment / Travel / Physical Demands Work Environment: Plant floor Travel: N/AMust be available to train on 1st then move to 2nd or 3rd shift.
