Job Description

Job Summary:

The Process Engineer organizes and coordinates performance improvement program activities and workflow.


  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary team on problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services and systems/ performance measures.

  • Researches, develops/acquires and implements improvement systems, methodologies and tools to improve operations.

  • Collaborates with Leaders to develop and revise screening indicators.

  • Provides on-site training and follow-up for performance improvement teams.

  • Coordinates with multidisciplinary teams of health care providers, leaders, infomaticists, finance, and related disciplines for analysis of current care delivery opportunities, identification of key leverage points for dramatic improvement both clinically and financially, and successful implementation of outcomes across the East Region.

  • Manages all aspects of a program from engaging key stakeholders and team members in targeting the opportunity, analysis of opportunity, identifying resources, and deployment/implementation including defining, sequencing and timing implementation steps, including development of guideline or policy, communication, education, measures of success, strategies for leveraging the change from awareness to hardwiring with structure and performance including alignment of incentives and consequences, across the East Region.

  • Mitigates risk; aware of barriers or misalignments that could impact deployment success, through engaging leadership in the understanding of the issues and involvement in the risk management plan across the East Region.

  • Works with groups of experts who scan the internal and external healthcare environment for best practices in clinical utilization and care that delivers safety, timeliness, efficiency, effectiveness, and patient-centeredness. Assist group to bring best practices through the structure and process needed to create system awareness and system wide change, across the East Region.



  • Bachelor's Level Degree

  • Bachelor's degree in a clinical area or Process Engineering required

  • Master's Level Degree

  • and Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, a healthcare field (eg nursing), Education, Learning, Communication Arts, or Industrial Engineering preferred

Work Experience:

  • 3 years of relevant process improvement experience.

  • 5 years of experience in the healthcare industry required with significant experience in clinical operations, care design leadership, quality, or utilization improvement, demonstrating progressively more management responsibilities.
