Kelly Services Equipment Maintenance Technician in Eatontown, New Jersey

Kelly Services is currently looking for an Equipment Maintenance Technician for one of our top clients in Eatontown, NJ. As an Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment, including air supply, electrical and systems installation. Our client’s dynamic environment is the perfect place to take your career to the next level.

You will be working 2nd shift. This is a 6 month contract long-term opportunity paying $16.00-$18.00/hour that has the potential to become a permanent role if you perform well.

Responsibilities

Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.

Execute manufacturing and facilities equipment preventive and corrective maintenance work orders.

Maintain and repair critical components for facility systems that provide utilities for manufacturing including electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.

Routinely monitor machines to detect malfunctions and discusses machine operation variations with supervisor and maintenance personnel to diagnose problem and/or repair machine.

Repair machines and equipment and installs new or rebuilt parts.

Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment such as programmable controllers.

Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing equipment technical / electrical issues.

Assemble and install mechanical/electrical devices.

Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.

Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.

Assemble, install, and maintain piping systems for hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

Repair and/or replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.

Repair and maintain building and associated components.

Must be flexible to work all shifts, Holidays, and weekends as needed due to vacation, illness, etc.

Troubleshoot and repair all boiler room support systems.

Monitor and maintain process water systems.

Perform daily water tests and maintain all log books.

Required to know how to use hand power tools to perform duties safe and effective

Job Requirements

High school or GED.

Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in machine installation, modification and equipment repair – including mechanical, electrical and plumbing experience.

5 years of manufacturing equipment maintenance and repair.

Ability to work from a ladder or scaffold. • Electrical systems troubleshooting ability • Mechanical system troubleshooting ability • Strong sense of urgency • Communicate well with others
