Here, you go.Job Summary:The person hired for the position of Product Assurance Engineer will join our Infection Prevention Team with a focus on post-launch product support for global healthcare products with an emphasis on supporting plant production operations. The position will focus on our Bair Hugger blanket products in our Patient Warming businesses. This position will lead and support projects that positively impact product service, performance, and quality.For additional information, please visit: http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_EU/Healthcare-Europe/EU-Home/Products/InfectionPrevention/Patient_Warming/Bair_Hugger_Therapy/Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Maintain product design intent as components, processes, methods, and specifications change.Identify quality improvements through monitoring and trending of key quality characteristics.Initiates and completes technical activities to improve products, processes or systems.Actively participate in the plant Lean Manufacturing System (LMS) 2.0 Tier system to support daily production activities.Lead the blankets Material Review Board (MRB) team meetings to disposition nonconforming product.Lead the quality investigations, deviations, and supply projects.Lead change management activities.Develop component specifications, product specifications, and associated test methods.Lead product testing to verify and validate design of products.Support regulatory submissions.Demonstrate/document/maintain product regulatory, International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and industry standards compliance.Gather customer input on design changes and usability.Interact with vendors supporting development and productionBasic Qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline from an accredited institutionMinimum of one (1) year of engineering experience (an Internship or Co-Op is considered qualifying)Preferred Qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited institutionMinimum of one (1) year of medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry experience.Previous product, process and/or quality experience within in a laboratory and/or manufacturing environmentPassionate, self motivated, inquisitive, imaginative, and detail orientedStrong project management skillsAble to thrive within a multi-functional product team (Quality, Manufacturing, Tech Service, Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory, etc.)Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on technical writingAble to coordinate multiple tasks/projects and manage priorities accordinglyAble to work under only general direction while independently determining the approach to problems and solutionsManufacturing and packaging experienceAbility to generate, review, and understand formal engineering drawings and documentsMicrosoft Office proficientLocation: Eden Prairie, MNTravel: May include up to 15% domesticRelocation: Is not availableVEVRAA Federal ContractorRequest Priority Protected Veteran ReferralsEOE -Veteran /Disabled/Minority/AA/F/M/SO
