Owens & Minor Mobile Inventory Technician/2nd Shift in Hanover, Maryland
Coordinates and ensures the timely and accurate delivery of instruments and implants needed for surgery.Responsibilities include the safe and timely transportation of inventory between DC and medical facilities and/or locations specified, using Owens & Minor owned transportation.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.Delivers instrument sets and implants to hospitals accurately and safely.
2.Retrieves and returns instrument sets and implants following surgery.
3.Interacts with customers and Sales Representatives.
4.Represents the company and the Owens & Minor brand.
5.Communicates and coordinates requests and shipments with Sales Associates.
6.Follows hospital-specific dispatch protocols.
7.Maintains knowledge to identify client's surgical sets by major product groupings and ensures familiarity with product lines.
SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.Performs additional duties as directed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1.High School Diploma (or equivalent) required; further education preferred
2.Valid driver's license
3.One year safe driving experience
4.Fluent in English

4.Is able to identify client's surgical sets by major product groupings; is familiar with all product lines

10.Easily navigates to previously unknown destinations; possesses a good sense of direction

14.Must frequently lift items; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
1.Ability to work overtime and be "on call" - late evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
