The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of Electrical Control infrastructures within a team of mechanical and electrical engineers to creatively solve equipment problems. We are seeking a candidate with experience in electrical equipment design and modification, component sourcing, project quoting, programming, testing, installing, startup and servicing of machinery and/or system integration projects. The candidate should have a strong background in web handling and tension controlled systems to assess our existing control systems and make recommendations for the appropriate upgrade. This position reports directly to the VP of Engineering.


Continuously look for ways to optimize machine performance, reduce maintenance costs, and improve product quality.

  • Assist and train maintenance personnel with troubleshooting, repair, and installation of equipment.

  • Support process engineering by specifying, installing, and modifying equipment to improve processes.

  • Manage assigned projects from inception to completion, using maintenance personnel, and/or contractors.

  • Create, update, and modify machine, part or facilities schematics using a CAD program.

  • Recommend equipment designs and modifications.

  • Comply with all company safety procedures and wear all necessary personal protective equipment.

  • Some domestic travel is required.


  • Bachelor degree or Associates degree with comparable continuing education and experience in the electrical and controls field.

  • 5 to 10 years of maintenance manufacturing and web handling experience.

  • ,3+ years of experience with Allen Bradley, ControlLogix and S7 PLCs is required.

  • Prefer experience with Siemens

  • Yaskawa Programming experience is a plus

  • Both AC and DC Drive experience with various drive platforms.

  • Solid computer skills including CAD.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Understanding of NFPA 70 and 70E electrical and safety codes preferred.

  • Knowledge of Ethernet communication platforms related to machine infrastructures preferred.

  • Knowledge of extrusion coating, silicone coating, printing and slitting processes preferred.
