10-May-2017Field Support EngineerUnited StatesPosition SummaryThrough both technical and leadership skills this position provides customer support of industrial projects through the Industrial Plant Services group which may include overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, analysis, service and repair of complex equipment and/or systems. Checks out and approves operational quality along with instruction to the customers in the operation and maintenance of the system. This role serves as the company liaison with customers technical and administrative matters for assigned projects.RESPONSIBILITIES•Oversee industrial conversion projects including project scoping, detailed design, installation, and onsite completion of projects.•Manage client relationships ensuring customer satisfaction on all projects Analyze power quality issues and offer solutions to mitigate them.•Oversee the installation contractor, company employee resources and 3rd party sub-contractors performance of the installation and client acceptance of equipment and services.•Provide budget analysis, labor planning and coordination of activities between client and company personnel. Monitors project completion from initiation through delivery to meet revenue, cost and scheduling projections.•The position requirements include execution of the business plan, providing commercial support, and maintaining a high quality delivery level.•Provide business input to the IPS Operations Manager for the industrial power business. Look for ways to implement new opportunities to continue to grow the IPS business.•May support multiple aspects of project: procurement, assembly, testing, installation support, on-going maintenance support, service agreements, system startups, and engineering, projects, along with proposal development Assist with contract negotiations, pricing strategies, capital equipment requirements and upkeep, and calibration.Minimum Qualifications•Bachelors degree with two or more years industrial electrical power systems experience and knowledge OR an equivalent experience of eight plus years in industrial electrical power system.•The ability to work through complex issues needing in depth analysis of situations or data.•The ability to use professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complete issues to support the customer.•Must be able and willing to travel up to 10% of the time.•Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
