Weatherford ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN II in SAN ANTONIO, Texas
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform duties according to the documented Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Standard Operating Procedures and Work Place Instructions.
Perform and track assigned preventive maintenance functions and maintain required documentation and records.
Install software on computers and servers utilizing Windows XP and Windows 7.
Perform basic use of Data Van control software to include: installation, configuration, remote usage, pull log data files and configuration files from a Data Van or other unit.
Install and test software and firmware upgrades / updates as they are made available.
Troubleshoot advanced current, voltage and frequency circuits to include: providing scenarios of faults and finding the cause.
Calibrate sensors and systems and maintain calibration data.
Troubleshoot systems and components to include: input/output devices and signals, communication devices, printers, two-way radio systems, data acquisition controllers and equipment interface enclosures.
Troubleshoot mixing equipment systems and components to include: controllers, Coriolis flow meters, densitometer, mag and turbine flow meters, sand screw augers and dry add augers.
Troubleshoot systems and components on the Pump Trucks, to include: controller, the HMI, data bus to the engine and transmission, pump controllers, sensors, valve controllers, and circuits.
Understand how the communication from the Data Van to the pumps and mixing equipment works in relation to the closed loop control circuits on the equipment.
Communicate equipment status details and directions in a clear and coherent manner.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of electronic test equipment and tools.
Ability to read equipment prints and schematics to perform competent troubleshooting.
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years of experience in maintenance and repair of instrumentation, such as: flow meters, transducers, densitometers and controllers.
Work flexible schedule, including long and/or irregular hours.
Must have a telephone and the ability to be on 24 hour call.
Associates degree in electronic discipline or equivalent related experience.
Computer networking or related training or degree.
Knowledge or training of computer networking and servers.
