CTG is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Lead to assist our client in Northern, California. This project is slated to last for 18 months. All candidates must be local to the San Jose, CA area, as no travel expenses will be reimbursed.

The QA Lead will be responsible for creating an end-to-end system integration test plan; executing the plan and managing all activities in the plan to ensure that all the objectives are met and that the solution works as expected. The solution should be tested in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility with other legacy- and / or external systems.

The QA Lead ensures that testing is well defined, planned and executed. As well as being responsible for testing every phase and feature of the software solution so any potential issue is identified and fixed before the product goes into production.

Quality Management Software and Testing Process Experience:

Fundamentals of integration, application and process testing

Ability to apply the correct quality assurance and testing process during the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Ability to write Microsoft SQL queries for validating testing results

Business process understanding

Experience Requirements:

Familiarity working with an AGILE task management and testing approach

Must have experience testing in an environment with SQL Server Databases, VMWare, and MS Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server

Experience in understanding DBMS and Data Modeling practices

Ability to use one or more scripting/programming languages to automate testing tasks

Strong oral and written communication skills

Technical writing experience a plus

Strong analytical and quantitative skills

Self-Motivated and can effectively multi-task

Testing in Software AG Web methods Environment experience a plus

Education Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field plus seven years of relevant quality assurance experience and programming experience
