Information Systems Security Engineer, Junior

Key Role:Monitor, analyze, and detect Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks. Assist with integrated, dynamic Cyber defense. Coordinate and maintain security toolsets to support organizations’ continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization programs.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with planning, testing, and reporting on systems in a lab and production infrastructure, including testing and analysis of security and functional performance testing-Knowledge of DoD STIGs and SRGs-Knowledge of NIST 800-53 and the Risk Management Framework-Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph prior to starting on client site-HS diploma or GED and 6+ years of experience with IT systems administration and operations, including maintaining responsibility for data backup and restoration

-DoD 8570 Certification, including Security+, CASP, CISSP, and CISM prior to starting on client site

Additional Qualifications:-Experience with a variety of operating systems, including Windows, Red Hat, and Solaris and platforms, such as VMware and AWS required to support the operational testing of new capabilities-Experience with vulnerability scanning tools, including Nessus-Experience with developing and enhancing operational procedures and new, innovative solutions to address current and emerging IT challenges-Knowledge of ITIL change managements and problem management best practices-Ability to work independently and as a team member to solve difficult technical challenges on a global scale-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills-Possession of excellent team collaboration skills

-BA or BS degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or Network Engineering-ITILv3 Foundation Certification

Clearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
