What You Will Be Doing
Responds to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, electronically. Logs all help desk interactions.
Diagnoses and resolves technical hardware and software issues.
Escalates hardware issues to tier II technicians as is appropriate. Identifies and escalates situations requiring urgent attention.
Researches questions using available information resources and redirects problems to appropriate resources
Follows standard help desk procedures and advises users on appropriate action.
Administers help desk software.
Documents resolutions and updates knowledge base.
Prepares activity reports.
Stays current with system information, changes and updates.
Other duties as assigned.
What You Need for this Position
At Least 3 Years of experience and knowledge of:
Ability to work a rotating on-call schedule which includes night, weekends and holidays- Certifications in Microsoft Windows and/or A+ desired- Dell certification or the ability to obtain certification within 3 months.
LAN/WAN troubleshooting and administration skills desired- Must possess and be able to demonstrate computer application (e.g., spreadsheet and word processing), installation, repair, troubleshooting skills.
Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously in a timely manner, and be able to meet assigned deadlines and service levels.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen, resolve problems, deal with unresolved issues, delays and unexpected events, and the ability to effectively communicate and maintain client rapport
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office applications, remote control software, anti-virus, remote access software.
