Technician Representative (WD30045158070)What you will doInstall and service fire alarm systems, intrusion, CCTV, and buildingaccess control and sound intercom systemsInstall, repair and alter electrical systems for all locations.Determine procedural changes, tools,materials and equipment.Run conduit, pull wire and install circuits for electrical low voltagesystems.The job entails wiring new equipment according to blueprints and alsotroubleshooting existing systems.Plan, layout, and install wiring,conduit and electrical apparatus infacilities.Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor.Repair electronic components using electronic test equipment and replacementpartsDiagnose and repair and/or replace damaged or broken wires, cables andfaulty electrical components of machines suchas relays, switches, and control panels. Install, maintain and repairmachinery, equipment, physical structures, andelectrical systems of industrial machinery and facilities in accordance withelectrical code specifications,blueprints,manuals, and electrical schematics and diagrams.Maintain and update schematics,drawings, and documentation files onequipment and notify engineering of thosechanges.Be proficient at servicing,maintaining and programming fire alarm systems,security systems, nurse call,intercom andCCTV systems.Computer knowledge with networking and programming helpful.Good customer interaction skills and the ability to think on your feet arerequired.You must be able to lift equipment and tools up to 75 lbs. and be able toclimb ladders and scaffoldingWork overtime as required.QualificationsWhat we look forPreferredMust be able to solely and safely lift and move materials weighing up to 75pounds.An attention to detail and the ability to work independently is essential.Six years of maintenance experience and an electrical license.Knowledge of fire alarms.Computer literate-Windows ApplicationsValid Drivers LicenseRequiredKnowledge of fire alarm systems is mandatory, both conventional andaddressable.Must have working knowledge of at least 2 major brands of fire controlpanels, factory training a plus.Experience may be obtained by progressingthrough internal service or ops positions or with companies where similarexperience is acquired.Must be computer literate with Windows.Knowledge of test equipment to include oscilloscope, multi-meters, digitalanalyzers, battery analyzers, frequency meters, decibel meters andcommunication devices preferred.A valid driver's license with good driving record; and the ability toobtain appropriate licenses required by national, state and local codes,and the ability to pass drug screen and employment background check required.Five (5) years experience in interior and exterior wiring and the repairof electrical equipment and appliances.Ability to communicate with various company personnel and co-workers inregards to work orders.Must Have a High School Diploma or GEDExcellent Industrial Electrical Problem Solving and Troubleshooting SkillsActive listening, team-building,communication, planning skills.
