Job Title: Laboratory Technician I
Primary Job Duties:
• Position requires some general laboratory skills (use of balances, gram and ounce conversion, yield accounting, equipment operation) or special skills taught by company.
• Know rules about recording data (no white out--cross through and initial mistakes, always use black [preferred] or blue ink), dating work (month, day, & year).
• Requires substantial independent judgment.
• With moderate instruction, must be able to perform routine testing and work with specific instrumentation (i.e. hair combing tests, particle size analysis, etc.).
Skills and Experience Requirements :
o Ability to learn and execute new methods on new pieces of equipment or software
o Specific tests will include tensile testing on various pieces of equipment
o Any prior experience with the MTS Testers or WTY apparatus used in Baby Care would be
ideal, or someone who can quickly learn
o Part of the work will be preforming new methodologies where there is no official method
already in place; lab tech will need to adapt and flag issues quickly
Contract Length: 1 months
Pay Rate: $15-20/hour
Shift: Part-Time; 8am – 4:30 pm (flexible); 20-hours per week
