Lockheed Martin Operations Engineer Senior Staff in Fort Worth, Texas
Resolve process compliance issues through the development and deployment of robust measurable processes that maximize commonality across all Aeronautics sites. Responsibilities will include development of process improvements, producibility studies, quality improvements, and metrics creation and tracking. Responsible to continuously apply a wide variety of engineering and manufacturing techniques, will contribute to or lead projects in a team environment and will investigate, transfer, and adapt processes, techniques, or methods to drive root cause corrective action and continuous process improvements. Candidate will be required to work special assignments as needed. The employee will be challenged to continuously improve processes and procedures through application of diagnostic tools and process improvement methods such as variation analysis, root cause corrective action, statistical process control (SPC), design of experiments (DOE) and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA). Basic Qualifications - Strong skills utilizing all aspects of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) in order to create and maintain MS Excel spreadsheets, performance metrics, data analysis and recurring presentations. - Ability to use Microsoft Project and Visio. - Experience in the development and implementation of efficient and effective processes. - Black Belt, Six Sigma or Lean training. - Broad range of producibility experience related to manufacturing, quality, or engineering. -Statistical Analysis and some experience required in the following processes: statistical process control (SPC), Control charting, Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Cause and Effect Mapping, PDCA/A3 Problem solving. - Project Management experience leading or executing a variety of projects.
Desired skills - Strong technical ability and experience in order to work complex problems. - Strong communication skills, with the ability to write technical documents and make presentations. -Experience in writing iCAR and CAR Corrective Action Plans (CAP). -Experience with process capture, command media (Aero Code System) development, and technical writing. -Working Knowledge of Manufacturing operations, production processes and cost estimating methods and practices along with Industrial engineering concepts and principals. -Manufacturing Engineering Experience – Shop Floor applications. -Quality Engineering and Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action Experience - Shop Floor applications. - Strong interpersonal skills. - Experience performing surveillance or audits in an industrial/military environment. - Experience working in Aircraft Manufacturing Assembly, Mate, Delivery process experience, Aircraft maintenance, and/or Flight Line Quality experience. - Experience in writing iCAR and CAR Corrective Action Plans. - Capable of building relationships across all disciplines and levels of management, with the ability to influence change across the Lines of Business. - Comfortable presenting controversial material in group settings. - Thorough understanding of Ground Operations Procedures (DCMAI 8210.1). - Thorough understanding of Quality Management System (AS9100) compliance requirements. - Experience working directly with various government agencies: DCMA, JPO, or IG. - Demonstrated understanding of specific Foreign Object Damage Prevention guidance (NAS 412). - Experience in audit activities such as: AOI/AMMT, GFR Survey, IG Inspections, AS9100 and ESH.
