IPAM engineering collaborates with its colleagues, including Technology, Risk Management and our businesses teams. Our emphasis on collaboration ensures the development and delivery of services that are responsive to the evolving threat landscape and drive value to our customers.The primary responsibility of this role is to support the various business units throughout the enterprise with provisioning and execution of BAU (Business As Usual) and project related requests for IP addressing. This includes Data Center, end user segment requests, switch port and VLAN adds, moves and changes. The position relies heavily on VitalQIP, an IP name and address management tool, which simplifies the assignment and allocation of IP addresses and services, such as DHCP, and DNS.Key responsibilities include: Providing basic and advanced DNS administrative services utilizing the Nokia VitalQIP GUI. Must know basic IP segmenting of subnets. IPV4 structure. Ownership of DHCP policies and templates. User will be adding static IP's, DHCP scopes, performing subnet creation and deletion. Providing documentation via ITSP portal as well as forms of DOC. Overseeing resource records in domains covering A records, CNAMES, and alias of DNS names and URL's. Enacting object policies and profiles. Managing servers, networks, subnets, and objects- DNS/DHCP pushes as well as Stop/Clean/Start. Responsibility for all Data Center requests to fill business unit requirements for new VLAN adds or simply to add devices to existing VLAN's on Data Center's user switches. Use of basic Cisco network engineer skills for accessing switches and routers. Configuring switch ports for Access or Trunk mode data transmission. Network trouble shooting tasks and incident management stemming from implementations. Working with other IT staff and vendor representatives on projects, installations, moves, changes, troubleshooting, documentation and servicing. Staying informed of current industry trends and emerging technologies. Evaluating new technology, products, and services for potential and opportunity as future networking solutions or upgrade/replacement.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer programming/computer science or equivalent work experience is required. Advanced degree is preferred. Six to eight (6-8) years of experience in DNS, DHCP, IP Management (DDI). Knowledge of DNS and IP segmentation. Knowledge of VitalQIP. (Knowledge of Infoblox is a plus.) Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
