Design Engineer- Packaging
Perform Conventional, less complex engineering design and detailing assignments to understand and create design drawings to meet Caterpillar Engineering systems and procedures
The nature and scope of the job include but not limited to Completing the design and detailing tasks as per the instructions/directives given by the team leader / senior engineer; Adheres to Caterpillar Systems and procedures

Job duties and Responsibilities:
Key areas of responsibilities include, but not limited to:
-Packaging Design and Detail Drawings
-Adhere to Caterpillar Standards and Specifications
-Contribute towards Cost reduction Projects
-Performs Product and Process maintenance
-Communicate results and issues to the Team Leader
-Work with other Onsite Packaging engineers across facilities and meet the Design Requirements
Modeler / Detailer report to Team Leader / Senior Engineer who will direct both methods and results
Challenges include managing their own development by continuously learning through experience and staying abreast of technology changes. Modeler / Detailer must meet the Engineering Standards requirements and should collaborate with people to make timely decisions.
Must build an understanding of how and why the decisions are made with in their work groups. They may be responsible for applying those Decisions to technology, theory, design or detailing of a component and maintenance of product or process data.
Background / Experience
Incumbent should possess basic working knowledge on Creo/AFX/Pro mechanica/Vis mockup / Engineering Packages with excellent analytical skills
Requires adequate knowledge on general engineering practices.
Should have an accredited Engineering with 2 to 3 years of working experience on Creo/AFX/Pro mechanica/Vis mockup / Engineering Packages.
