You can build your future here!We are looking for Diesel Equipment Service Technicians to join our team in Lafayette, Louisiana. This position requires general knowledge of diesel engines as well as electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems and components of heavy equipment. Diesel Equipment Service Technician Primary Responsibilities:Positively promote Caterpillar and Louisiana CatComply with Federal, State, and Louisiana Cat safety policies and proceduresClean, lubricate and perform routine maintenance on equipment and vehiclesSafely and properly operate and inspect machines, vehicles and/or engines to diagnose defectsDetect equipment faults through the use of laptop computers, gauges, and instrumentsDiagnose, troubleshoot and repair diesel and natural gas engines, equipment, transmissions and componentsDisassemble and reassemble components and systems to manufacturer's specifications through the use of factory recommended tooling (equipment, hoists, hand and power tools)Formally document repair for reporting to customer, manufacturer and historical record of repaired productComplete assigned training in a timely and proficient mannerDiesel Equipment Service Technician Qualifications:Diesel technology training/education preferredCaterpillar specific experience strongly preferredPrevious experience as a mechanic / technician strongly preferredWilling to work nights, weekends, and overtime as required by customer demandMust be able to obtain or currently possess adequate tooling to perform dutiesProficient computer literacy with strong communication skills to complete related paperwork accurately and timelyExcellent customer satisfaction skillsAbility to project a positive professional image with customers and co-workersMust have own toolsBenefits options include:Health, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability PoliciesCorporate DiscountsGenerous 401K PlanPaid Holidays and VacationCredit UnionTechnician Career Development Program - Shop and Field Service TrainingPre-Employment drug screens and proof of employment eligibility (E-Verify) are required for any position offered.Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V For more information, or to apply now, you must go to the website below.
