Our fun, fast-paced and collaborative teamdesigns, builds, and flies the Dream Chaser Cargo System, an ambitiousflagship program to create our Nation's only commercially reusable spaceplane. With your help, we will conduct many safe and successful missionsover the next decade to deliver critical cargo to and from the InternationalSpace Station. These flights for NASA will enable us to build an unprecedentedcommercial space transportation network around the Dream Chaser, whichprovides affordable, cutting-edge orbital capability and return to Earthservices onto runways around the globe. The future of space transportation isnThis senior level Engineer will lead a matrixed team on all aspects ofdefinition and development of ground support equipment (GSE) includingspecial test fixtures for the Dream Chaser space vehicle. The candidate willwork with the flight hardware design, Manufacturing and Test Engineering todefine GSE and Tooling needs.Overall responsibilities include: Design and document GSE end itemsincluding design description, hardware architecture definition, tradestudies, performance specifications, design reviews, develop andmaintain hardware engineering drawings.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Develops functional specifications and cost targets for projectsTranslates functional specifications into design requirementsPrepares project plans including schedules, budgets, and may staff assignmentsEvaluates functional specifications, cost targets and develops or approvesdesign concepts to meet themMonitors and reports project status.
