Key responsibilities:

Establish relationships with key Lab personnel in the customer organization in order to contribute to testing and certification.

Test and certify all hardware and software as directed by customer.

Perform and coach others to continuously document knowledge to enable an effective knowledge sharing process and organizational development.


BS Degree in engineering (IT, Telecom, Computer Science). Preferably over 15 years relevant experience, of which approximately 10 years in the area of Network Installation, Configuration, Support and Consulting OR previous LAB environment work. May be a combination of all.

Strong interpersonal communication skills (written, spoken and presentation) and ability to work with clients/customers.

Good understanding of networks and services.

Is pro-active, with good communication skills (written, spoken and presentation), creativity, problem solving and decision-making skills. Is capable of working both independently and within teams and be comfortable working in structured and unstructured situations and solving non-standard problems.

Evaluate new hardware and/or software; assess customer current and future plans to optimize their network architecture, and capabilities.


Extensive experience in client engagements, either working directly for a client or experience in positioning complex installations to clients. Strong background in the area of networking in the following categories: Access Networks, Wireless, Core, Network planning, Network baseline and topology assessment, Network planning and optimization.


  • Must have strong Routing, switching, Nexus, data center, traffic generator/analysis tools i.e spirent, ixia experience.

  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP concepts, OSPF, BGP, VLAN, trunking/port-channeling, FHRP protocols, enterprise level MPLS, VDC, flavors of vPC, Fabricpath.

  • Familiar with best practices to install and deploy various Cisco routing and switching platforms such as ISR, ASR, Catalyst and Nexus.

  • Basic QoS configuration on IOS and NX-OS.

  • Hands on with Nexus platforms such as 2k,5k and 7K required.

  • Exposure to IOS-XR routing desired but not required.

  • PIM-Sparse mode, SSM and MSDP experience desired.

  • Basic security knowledge on ASA and Cisco IOS such as IPSEC, remote access VPNs, site to site VPNs, firewall context is an advantage.

  • Virtualization experience advantages.

  • Traffic Analysis experience required.

  • In-depth understanding of troubleshooting Cisco router and switch configurations.

  • Ability to interface directly with vendors and local support teams.

  • Ability to self-manage concurrently running projects.

  • Experience with F5 LTM desired but not required

  • Experience with CheckPoint and/or Juniper firewalls desired but not required
