A Product Test Technician Sr. performs subassembly and unit test activities for various programs within the Product Test organization. Test activities include the following: testing production hardware, troubleshooting test failures from production and field return assets, performing acceptance testing, completing test data sheets, compiling as built lists, generating Quality Notifications for defective hardware, and documenting test equipment issues. Basic knowledge of digital and analog circuitry is a must. Knowledge of the following types of test equipment is required: multi-meters.

Basic Qualifications Must be proficient in the use of various types of computers and software programs. Must be able to read and understand drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical publications. Must have the ability to write test reports in detail. Must be familiar with basic troubleshooting steps. The preferred candidate must work under general supervision, can multi-task and adapt to change, and possess strong organizational and communication skills. The candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to take ownership of assigned tasks. The applicant must be able to work with a diverse team of highly skilled engineers, technicians, and subcontractors. The individual must have good oral and written communication skills and work well in a team environment. Adherence to Quality Procedures within the Product Test Organization is required.

Desired skills Desired skills include the ability to test and troubleshoot circuit card assemblies down to the component level using special test equipment, digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and other evaluation tools. Basic knowledge of digital and analog circuitry, with the ability to troubleshoot to the component level.
