As a Splunk Partner Sales Engineer (SE), you’ll hold the technical relationships with our partners. Our partners like our customers span all business sectors and sizes, so you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse set of organisations.

You will be responsible for helping partners to drive and manage the technology evaluation sales stage through to technical closure, building the Partners’ self-sufficiency. You’ll work alongside the Partner Account Manager team to build sustainable go-to-market business relationships that enable Splunk to grow.

Splunk Partner SEs must be able to answer technical questions from customers and partners alike, as well as articulate the value of Splunk solutions to both business and technical stakeholders.

You must be able to identify all technical issues of your assigned partners to assure complete customer and partner satisfaction and you must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle with our customer's and partner’s technical staff.

Additionally, you must understand the partners Go to Market, and be able to enable them and help them acquire the necessary skills in order to be successful with Splunk.

  • Ability to demonstrate Splunk products and services to customers and partners on site, remotely via webinar sessions, and at field events such as conferences and trade shows

  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs RFPs

  • Self-motivated with a proven track record in technical software hardware sales and with topical knowledge of technology innovations in IT, Security, Dev Ops and Cloud

  • Strong presentation skills and can communicate clearly and professionally to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports

  • Ability to be organized and analytical, and must be able to eliminate sales obstacles using creative and adaptive approaches

  • You should be comfortable working for a dynamic technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base

  • You need to be bold. If it’s not working, you need to work out why, and ensure you can articulate the changes needed to turn it around, and drive initiatives that will make those changes happen

  • Skills in various Security products especially SIEM solutions will be an added value

  • Although the role is based in France there may be the requirement to support periodically Partner activities elsewhere within Southern EMEA.

Requirements: I’ve already done that or have that!

  • Whilst being a technical role, commercial awareness is needed to plug into the partner’s key business metrics and thus cement joint business plans.

  • Experience of channel work such as technical enablement, sales support and assisting POxs together with a partner

  • Relevant experience in selling and supporting software products to IT organizations

  • Domain knowledge & experience and familiarity with IT management products and services

  • Domain knowledge & experience with security, networking, server, application and development technologies

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • 3+ years of Presales experience working for Enterprise Software Vendor or Partner

  • Experience in enablement will be considered as an advantage

  • Experience and strong hands-on skills with UNIX (HP-UX, Solaris, AIX), Linux and Windows operating systems
