REMBRANDT FOODS Quality Assurance Tech - Night Shift in REMBRANDT, Iowa

Job Summary: This position is responsible for assuring compliance with the locations quality policies and procedures for the day-to-day operations of the sites further processing facility. Duties and Responsibilities:  Ensure that all QA functions are being performed and documented in an accurate and efficient manner Work with the locations USDA inspector to insure compliance with USDA/FSIS regulations  Monitor and review CP and CCP documentation  Verify sanitation and CIP chemical concentrations  Monitor usage and documentation of ingredients, food additives and processing agents to insure proper usage and traceability  Monitor finished product packaging to insure labeling, inkjet coding and package weight meet company and customer specification  Audit and maintain quality assurance programs and procedures  Perform daily pre-operational sanitation, GMP and housekeeping inspections  Assist in 3rd party audits  Ro-taps  Collect and analyze raw and pasteurized product samples; pH, moisture Test physical parameters of in-process and finished goods  Communicate test results with production and QA staff  Assist in employee training  Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity and sustained certification of the SQF system  Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring  Responsible for following and enforcing procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan and the Food Quality Plan and any other programs that support the SQF system and other 3rd party audits  Perform other tasks as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Required:  Attention to detail  Ability to read, understand and effectively communicate information through writing and speaking so others will understand  Public relation skills and phone etiquette  Independent Self-Starter/Team Player  Mathematical Skills iLogical/Analytical  Hand/Eye/Foot Coordination Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet  Mathematical Skills: Logical/Analytical, Percentages, Fractions, Advanced Algebra  Advanced English: fluent in speaking, reading and writing  Ability to understand and interpret testing results  Post-secondary education  Problem solving  Leadership Skills Preferred:  Fine Motor Skills  Computer knowledge The above statements are intended to describe the nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job description/classification.
