In this role you will deliver innovative products and services at a rapid pace, enabling our development teams to serve our customers seamlessly across physical, digital and cloud platforms. You will be engineering a platform that provides services and frameworks

to developers as a secure, scalable and highly available platform by using a variety of technologies such as AWS, Windows, Linux, SaltStack, MS SQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Docker, Octopus. Own, automate and troubleshoot the Production Releases for a complex set

of Biocomputing solutions.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or Information Technology

  • Five (5) years Systems Engineer experienced with breadth and depth

  • Articulate enough to explain ideas/concepts outside developer wheelhouse simply and effectively

  • Five years’ experience working with many the following technologies or databases is required:

  • Windows / Linux Administration


  • SaltStack

  • Docker

  • MS SQL

  • MongoDB

  • RabbitMQ

  • Splunk

  • Demonstrated work experience managing complex infrastructure projects with minimal supervision

  • Works well with group inside and outside of defined team.

Physical and other requirements:

  • Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.

  • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

  • Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Communicate: Frequently communicate with others.

  • PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.

  • ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.

  • Authorized to Work: Must be a citizen of the United States or authorized to work in the United States.

  • Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

  • English: Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
