Job Summary

The Health Technologies Team conceives and proves out innovative and exciting technology for Appleā€™s future products and features in an impactful new domain for the company.

We are seeking a highly motivated engineer to help develop health, wellness, and fitness sensors, systems, and applications. You will engage in a collaborative, rapidly-changing environment to design groundbreaking new technologies.

You will become part of a hands-on hardware design and development engineering team that fosters engineering excellence, creativity and innovation. Key Qualifications

  • Do you posses strong electrical engineering fundamentals? This means you have a deep understanding of why our discipline works the way it does; you've developed an intuition and can apply it to new topics because you understand the basics.

  • Are you experienced with hands-on hardware bring-up, debugging, and functional verification? 2+ years of this kind of experience is preferred, but we encourage you to apply with any level of experience.

  • Your successful technology development experience and time spent hands-on in a hardware development environment, shipping products, is invaluable to our team.

  • Your depth of expertise in electronic design, primarily analog and some digital, as well as PCB design and fabrication will serve you well.

  • Your demonstrated ability to work as a key member of a team, enabled by your ability to communicate with a broad audience and operate with astute interpersonal skills will ensure you thrive at Apple.

  • Are you highly organized and be able to multitask? Coupled with strong analytical ability, your attention to detail will be instrumental to success.


We develop prototype and product-intent hardware for physiological measurement applications. Your role will encompass a diverse array of responsibilities, including:

Hardware design, analysis, and laboratory work.

Developing robust and production-worthy sensor and circuit designs, with well-documented specifications, rationale, and test limits.

Partner closely with other teams at Apple to create seamless integration with hardware, sensors, software, and algorithms.

Communicate well-reasoned architectures, designs, and measurement approaches to other teams and Apple leadership to ensure the success of our projects.


A Bachelor's, Master's or PhD of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.
