We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to be part of a team of engineers that will support a wide range of network automation and control plane services that are critical to managing and scaling our network infrastructure.

As a DevOps engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Deep dive analytics into system uptime, service metrics, performance, deployment automation

  • Develop meaningful service metrics and dashboards

  • Managing reliability and manageability of network automation and control plane services

  • Develop service debugging tools, developing deployment automation solutions, build and manage test environments for services

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS or related engineer field

  • Experience working in an online services or cloud provider environment

  • Strong operational background, experience with building service monitoring and debugging solutions, defining and measuring service metrics

  • Experience with participating in an on call rotation and driving live site incidents to resolution

  • Extensive experience with scripting and compiled languages Java and Python, bash and RESTful API experience

  • Experience with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and SSL, HTTP

  • Experience managing a linux environment, docker, managing distributed systems

  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Excellent judgment in influence for product roadmap direction, features, and priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with network service tooling and various network topologies

  • Experience with SQL or noSQL technologies

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
