BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Patient Safety Solutions Manager in Sydney, Australia

Job Description Summary

Responsible for the initiation, development, delivery and training of BD patient’s safety solutions programs primarily across BD Medical Segment, targeting the C-Suite and in collaboration with the Key Account Managers team to improve both customers and BD financial performance

Job Description


  • Conduct a market research and utilise secondary reports to gather insights on customer needs and future trends

  • Develop a marketing strategy and create a comprehensive offering in the Patient Safety space targeted to senior level customers that include BDX solutions (products and added value) and return on investment model to improve customers financial performance

  • Support the KAM team in their promotion of BD patient Safety solution the C Suite through the development of series of marketing collaterals and programs.

  • Conduct face to face meetings across ANZ with C suite, supporting the KAM team

  • Position BD as the key player in the Patient Safety space through the utilization of different marketing channels (e.g. event with customers’ senior executives on Patient Safety)

  • Work across BDX businesses coordinating input from the diverse marketing and Sales teams

  • Identify and develop local KOLs

  • Maintain necessary contact with major customers, professional associations and government representatives to achieve common objectives.

  • Ensure that all activities are consistent with the BD core values and comply with relevant acts, legal demands, and regulatory and ethical standards.

  • Management of expenses to budget.

  • Adhere to the requirements of the Quality Management System as maintained by BD Australia and New Zealand.

  • Other related tasks at the discretion of management.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of business experience in the Medical Device industry

  • Minimum of 4 years in product and/or marketing management. Business experience may include marketing, sales, sales training, business development

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree

  • Clinical experience advantageous

  • Experience in identifying Market Opportunities, Market and customer Segmentation, Targeted Marketing, solution offering development and Go to Market models and strategies

  • Experience in a matrix environment.
