Hydraulic Design Engineer


Job Description:

As a Hydraulic Design Engineer youwill design and develop Hydraulic systems, Hydraulic Schematics, and generalsystems design work for underground vehicles in conjunction with the Hydraulicdesign teams in both Burnie and US.

Youwill be responsible for providing engineering and related services in supportof the Engineering System team. Taking projects from the conceptual stagethrough to production. You will participate in engaging, managing and/ordelivering engineering services including drafting/modelling, design, testing,and/or analysis.

Inthis role it is paramount that you are self-driven and able manage your ownworkload. Timely, thorough, and accurate completionofassigned task is a must. Coordinatedesign efforts with on-site as well as offsite engineers to provide costeffective, reliable and manufactural designs in a timely manner, which supportsall project timelines.

Taskinclude but not limited too;

  • General Design and routing on Hydraulicsystems

  • Work with supplier to design coolingpackages with an eye to modularity

  • Design & Detail Hydraulic systems

  • Develop and Maintain Hydraulic schematics

  • General Light structure design &detailing

  • Update drawings using CatCreodrawing package

  • Manage own projects and timelines

  • Thisrole requires a versatile designer capable of multitasking and switchingbetween projects while maintaining good cadence


Required skills and Experience:

  • MechanicalEngineering Degree, Minimum

  • Experiencein Hydraulic System Design

  • Experiencein Creodrafting

  • ExcellentTeamwork

Ability to travel less than 10%.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experiencewith Cat systems and design an advantage

  • Undergroundexperience
