We are seeking resumes for a mid to senior level Project Engineer in our Valdosta, Georgia, Paper Mill. Project Engineer Responsibilities The Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating the planning, organizing, and completion of mill engineering projects within the area of assigned responsibility. The engineer will help to define and participate in the development of projects to improve manufacturing efficiency and/or general process improvements and initiatives. This includes providing technical direction, assistance and solutions to maintenance and operating personnel. Responsible for managing all phases of capital and expense projects from conception through final project implementation. Outlines project requirements, assigns tasks, and supervises progress to ensure that project objectives are met. Will work with maintenance/operations personnel to follow mill project closure procedure, including: training, recommended spare parts, Preventive Maintenance schedules, drawing updates, etc. Supports mill goals for safety, environmental and other concerns. Basic Qualifications Bachelor�s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Project Engineering/Management background in an industrial environment A minimum of 3 years of experience, or the equivalent, in the operation and maintenance of utility, power generation or propulsion plants including the following systems (candidate does not have to possess experience in all areas): High Pressure Boilers and Steam Systems Steam, Feed water, Condensate and Cooling Water systems Chilled Water Systems Water Purification Systems (RO, Demineralizers, Evaporators, softeners, etc.) Compressed Air Systems Central Control Systems and Automation Medium and High Voltage Electrical Distribution Systems A demonstrated knowledge of utility plant operations theory and industry practices. Experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Project, and AutoCAD You must pass drug screen and you must be eligible to work in the US on a full time basis. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree Pulp & Paper industry experience The successful candidate must possess the following Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to be able to work well under pressure and within time constraints, multi-task, and build sound relationships with both internal and external customers Ability to exhibit excellent communication, analytical, organizational and computer skills.
