Regal is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce.POSITION OVERVIEW Provide basic technical engineering expertise and assistance focusing on process improvement of manufactured products through development and redesign of existing manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, fixturing, and gauges.JOB DESCRIPTION (Key Responsibilities): Support manufacturing process improvements and machine capabilities to meet product specifications and quality standards.Work closely with supporting departments and hourly employees to provide the tools and training necessary to do their job productively. This is accomplished through engineered processes, specifications, standards, and routings to ensure the most efficient methods for production.Establish and maintain manufacturing operations, specifications, product cost estimating, and standards.Identify, record, and implement manufacturing cost reductions in material, labor, cycle time, setup, down time, tool life, product flow, inventory, etc.Assist with the preparation of Appropriation Requests (AR's) with justifications for capital projects that details savings projected for production improvements. Project coordination consisting of specifying equipment, designing tooling, ordering items, scheduling installation, conducting machine qualifications, programming, training and supportive documentation for the personnel operating and maintaining the equipment.Support production's daily engineering needs including troubleshooting problems related to the manufacturing process, product quality, equipment, programming, tooling, fixturing, tools, and other resources necessary to produce the product.Cooperate closely with other product divisions, production departments, and service departments as necessary.Follow Regal Ethics and Safety ProgramsAdhere to all Export, Import and Supply Chain Security Policy requirements relevant to the positionFollow State and Federal Environmental Compliance ProgramsAdhere to ISO 9000 StandardsJob duties include but are not limited to the aboveEducation: working towards degree in related engineering discipline preferredTravel Required: MinimalComputer Skill:Personal ComputerProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power PointProficient with InternetAbove average verbal and written communication skillsAbility to get along with othersCan effectively function in a matrix and team environmentDaily attendanceVEVRAA Federal ContractorRequest Priority Protected Veteran ReferralsEOE -Veteran /Disabled/Minority/AA/F/M/SO
