Quality Inspector (Electrical)

Description

  • Assists in the development of quality standards for receiving, in-process, and final inspection in accordance with NASA, contract and customer requirements.

  • Ensures process compliance with contract and customer requirements and specifications through tests, inspections, audits and validations for design, engineering, products, equipment, maintenance and services.

  • Participates in root-cause analysis; obtains disposition and implements corrective action as needed.

  • Participates in the establishment of unit objectives, work plans, schedules, and ensures resources are available for completion of assignments. .

  • Provides activity, status and metrics reports to management.

  • May perform higher level tasks associated with an individual contributor role.

  • Collects and uses statistical data for the monitoring and evaluation of trends.

  • Participates in design reviews to ensure inclusion of quality requirements.

  • Resolves technical and/or operations issues to ensure established schedules are met.

  • Evaluates and recommends changes in work methods and procedures in assigned area.

  • Assists in the development of new processes/procedures as needed.

  • Attends communication and team meetings.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in the inspection space flight electronics

  • Must be able to attain a Secret clearance classification

  • Must be a United States Citizen

  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent

  • Must be able to attain NASA certifications in harness, Printed circuit board and polymerics inspections

Additional Qualifications:

  • Complete understanding of quality system

  • Proficient in the use of most tools, measuring and test equipment

  • Ability to assist process development and implementation tools

  • Technical writing skills for procedures and processes and drafts policies for review

  • Ability to interact with external and internal customers and senior management personnel

  • May possess a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification
