JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Description Under the direction of the Supervisor, Facilities Management is responsible for maintaining building and mechanical systems, equipment and property. Provides security and maintenance related services for all BCW locations. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES *Initiates or responds to work orders performing regular and emergency repairs on building systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical systems and equipment at all Blood Center locations. *Performs preventative maintenance, quality assurance testing, and calibration activities on regulated and other equipment and systems. *Performs work related to office and lab moves and changes as directed. *Interacts with vendors and contractors to provide work direction and guidance. *Excellent customer service and communication skills while interacting with internal and external customer and community. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE *Mechanical aptitude in the areas of general maintenance, HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, refrigeration, and carpentry *Effective customer service and communication skills *Computer literacy and ability to learn building and alarm systems *Ability to work independently and in a team environment *Ability to perform all Facilities Tech I duties *Valid Wisconsin driver's license We embrace and encourage diversity in our workforce.
