Manpower Group Sr. Electronics Engineering Technician in York, Pennsylvania

A Sr. Electronics Engineering Technician is needed for a rapidly growing technology company located in York PA for a long term assignment through the end of 2018.

This position will develop processes, tests, and documentation required to support all production repair functions.

Job Summary:

  • Apply job skills and company policies to solve complex problems.

  • Work from complex schematics, layouts, and diagrams.

  • Utilize multimeters, oscilloscopes, RF signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and communication test sets.

  • Perform level 3 phone repair including but not limited to soldering, cosmetics and small component replacement.

  • Coordinate with associates to source required components.

  • Evaluate new phones, qualify components, support equipment maintenance, etc.

  • Evaluate new models to create repair documentation including assembly / disassembly, functional, troubleshoot, etc. documentation.

  • Interface with OEM to remedy component availability issues.

  • Interpret ISB's, CSB's, and FSB's and determine relevance to daily responsibilities.

  • Actively identify & pursue process improvement initiatives.

  • Identify and report process deficiencies and potential improvements

  • Support level 3 technicians with documentation, tooling, training, etc.

  • Perform root cause failure analysis on field failures and repair process failures.

  • Test equipment evaluation and procure recommendation

  • Aid and directs small groups and cells in the analysis and manufacturing of phones

  • Give direction to other employees, monitors and lead Engineering Techs.


  • *3 years minimum PLC system troubleshooting and programming in an industrial environment; Knowledge of SCADA systems; Knowledge

troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems, pneumatics, and wiring

Associates degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent trade school Certification.

  • Minimum seven years of related electronic /wireless tech experience

  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and leadership skills

  • High attention to detail and proficiency in analog, digital and RF disciplines

  • Must have the ability to recognize deviations from company practices and standards and takes appropriate action
